Elle is a native English speaker with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice and a master’s degree in criminal justice. Throughout her higher education in the social sciences, Elle maintained writing positions, working as a professional consultant for individual and corporate clients and as an essay-writing tutor for adult learners. She believes that effective written communication is the cornerstone of success across disciplines and loves working to perfect grammar, syntax, and mechanics.
Elle has over 8 years of experience proofreading, editing, and revising manuscripts for both professional scholars and students. Additionally, she has helped colleagues and clients prepare for professional endeavors ranging from drafting cover letters, resumes, and CVs to developing job talks, lectures, and conference presentations. Elle has also been a principal investigator and research assistant on studies involving both human subjects and secondary data. Her research experience spans quantitative and qualitative methodologies, including survey construction and data collection.
Elle has been a contributing author for two encyclopedias from SAGE and ABC-CLIO and is published in the Journal of Qualitative Criminology and Criminal Justice. She also belongs to the American Copy Editors Society and the Editorial Freelancers Association.
